A venue overlooking the largest lake in central Italy, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, just a few minutes from Passignano sul Trasimeno and less than half an hour from Perugia. The villa accommodates up to 120 guests and offers overnight stays, turning the wedding into a multi-day experience. Many of Patricia and Elis's guests chose to stay on, exploring the surrounding area in the days around the celebration.<\/p>\n

The Ceremony in Cortona: Where Tuscany Enters the Story<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta<\/em><\/h3>\n

For the ceremony, the couple chose the Duomo of Cortona, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, which looks out over the main square of one of Tuscany's most beautiful medieval towns. The church has ancient origins, documented as early as the eleventh century as a Romanesque parish church, and in its current form was designed in the second half of the fifteenth century by followers of Giuliano da Sangallo. The interior holds a rich collection of historical and artistic treasures. To marry here is to say your vows in a place that has already heard thousands of promises, in one of the most beautiful towns between Arezzo and Lake Trasimeno.<\/p>\n

After the ceremony, the photographs unfolded through the historic, picturesque streets of Cortona: a town that offers corners of rare beauty, with ancient stone, views over the Val di Chiana and an atmosphere suspended in time that comes through clearly in photographs. The short distance between Cortona and Villa Baroncino, around thirty kilometres, made it easy to move smoothly from ceremony to reception without sacrificing any of the key photographic moments.<\/p>\n

The Reception: Warmth, Laughter and a Celebration That Honoured Its Guests<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A Warm Atmosphere Despite the Distance<\/em><\/h3>\n

One of the most beautiful aspects of this wedding was the warmth of the guests. Despite being a destination wedding, with many people having travelled from far away, the atmosphere at Villa Baroncino during the reception was lively and intimate at the same time. When people who love each other find themselves somewhere beautiful, far from their daily routines, something special happens: conversations flow more easily, laughter comes more freely, dancing needs no encouragement. Villa Baroncino, with its outdoor spaces and the view of the lake shifting with the evening light, played its part perfectly.<\/p>\n

The Day Through the Photographer's Eyes<\/em><\/h3>\n

Alessandro Pellicciari followed Patricia and Elis from beginning to end, from the getting-ready moments at the villa to the final dances of the evening. An international wedding brings specific challenges: guests from different cultures, a rhythm to the day that does not always match Italian traditions, emotions expressed in different languages. Reportage photography in this context becomes an even more valuable tool: it captures what needs no translation, those glances and gestures that mean the same thing anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n
